Enyeaman confirm super eagles return

Vincent Enyeama has suggested he is set to make a stunning return to international football with the Super Eagles for next year’s World Cup, if his recent social media postings are anything to go by.

The 35-year old quit international football in October 2015 after a major falling out with then Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh.

However, from his first day in charge of the Eagles, Rohr has maintained he wants Enyeama back in the national team as he considers him the country’s best goalkeeper.

But he has also made it clear that he is only ready to have the Lille shot stopper back if he is back playing club football regularly after a major knee injury and that he does not put forward any conditions for his comeback.

In one of his tweets shortly after Nigeria secured World Cup passage last Saturday, Enyeama simply wrote: “Countdown on. This is massive. Never wanted to do this, but I don’t have a choice. Wish me luck.”

Should he return, Russia 2018 would be his fourth World Cup after he featured at the 2002, 2010 and 2014 tournaments.
